| The Mahi pattern, as knotted in Khoy and available in nearly every stock, is typical for these carpets. With our own production we revived a special type of Mahi patterns that was commissioned by well-heeled connoisseurs of carpets 50 to 60 years ago as unique specimens before Mahi-Khoy became mass-produced goods. We focused our attention on these patterns, which are more elegant an beautiful as the Khoy patterns, and let varieties of them be made in different basic colours, usually beige, red, blue or green – on request also in other colours – from finest New Zealand wool with allover pattern. |
