Bijar Carpets With Fine Knotting |
The village Bijar is located in the province of Kurdistan in the West of Iran and its carpets enjoy a particularly good reputation and great demand in Germany due to their excellent quality and considerable resistance to wear. With our own production we commit ourselves in reviving the especially attractive style of the Twenties and we commissioned professional artists with the design of the patterns. For the fine knotting only hand-spun wool from mountain sheep in Kurdistan is used, that is famous for its long fleece-fibres and its toughness. In short: A carpet for generations, like all the carpets of our own production dyed with vegetable dyes, in this case mainly cream-coloured, red and blue. |
